NCOID Director in the Media Conference:
NCOID Paves the Way for Establishing Dialogue Within the Insurance Industry
Dr. Hamid Kordbache, Director of 28th National Conference on Insurance and Development (NCOID), exchanged views with the media on November 30, 2021 at Insurance Research Center (IRC).

On November 30, Dr. Kordbache, Head of IRC also the Director of NCOID, attended a media conference specifically held for the upcoming 28th NCOID and talked about the details of the event and exchanged with the media on relevant subjects.

“28th NCOID with the main theme of “The Role of Insurance Industry in Economic Prosperity with the Main Focus on Digital Transformation” will be held consecutively on December 4 and 5, 2021 both in-person (for the industry senior managers) and virtually (for the general audience) with the following side events: Celebration of the Insurance Day, Insurance Industry Hall of Fame 2021, Top Book of the Insurance Industry, Top Insurance Industry Managers and Staff, Insurance Media Festival.” Dr. Kordbache said, “There are also several professional presentation, 24 professional panels, and some virtual workshops.”

Emphasizing on the uniqueness and distinctiveness of NCOID, he added: “The past NCOID events were all meant to be a setting for the exchange and dialog what our insurance industry simply lacks. Fostering such an extensive relationship among the members, officers, and mangers in the industry, NCOID has been unique in its kind and highly valuable. Since it paves the way for establishing a systematic dialog among the audiences, it holds an exceptional position.”  

“This year, 24 professional and academic panels will be held in the conference and the emphasis is on interindustry dialogs among experts and professionals both from the industry and the academia focusing on the digital transformation in the insurance industry.” He added. “Except 8 academic panels being mediated by IRC, the other panels will be directed by the industry and the academia with IRC’s support.” He emphasized.
“The panels related to the establishment of dialog with the insureds will be conducted for the first time in 28th NCOID.”

At the end of the media conference, Dr. Korbache, exchanged his views with the reporters on the following issues including the most significant threatening risks of the insurance industry, lack of integration and focus on the digital transformation in terms of costs, the destiny of the legacy sale networks after developing digital transformation plans, the situation of startups in advanced countries, the impact of the existing startups on the insurance penetration rate, the relevance of IRC’s products for the industry, exploitation of the profitability in order to develop the insurance industry, the status of ILS issuance, employing digital transformation plans for the supervisory and regulation settings, and  the extent to which these questions will be raised in the upcoming NCOID.

It must be noted that due to COVID-19 restrictions, 28th NCOID will be conducted with the in-person participation of some of the top insurance industry managers. Anyone interested to participate in the conference is free to virtually attend the conference. All the NCOID’s programs will be broadcasted in the dedicated website of 28th NCOID and at the meantime, are all accessible at the websites of IRC, Bimeh Markazi (CII), Iran Insurers Syndicate, and insurance companies and in their associated Aparat and Instagram webpages. Certificate of participation will issued for those who have registered for the 28th NCOID in its website.

Conducted on the Day of Insurance in Iran, National Conference on Insurance and Development (NCOID) is the largest insurance community gathering in its kind where many from across the country meet to discuss the relevant mutual issues of interest. 28th NCOID will be virtually held on December 4-5, 2021.
