In this meeting held in Abu Dhabi where EIA is based, Dr. Shahram Rezapour, International Advisor of IRC accompanied Dr. Asgari. Initially, the CEO of IRC introduced IRC, its organizations, its obligations and activities. He highlighted the neighborhood of Iran and UAE and feasibility of any interaction between the two countries. He called for EIA to provide training courses for Iran insurance industry managers in the broad fields of insurance and takaful. He also asked if it was possible to conduct joint research activities with EIA.

Dr. Asgari pointed to the long history of Islamic banking in Iran and announced the recent launch of first takaful product in Iran. He also invited the President of EIA to participate in the upcoming event on July on the mutual effect of insurance and takaful. He also asked for sketching the first draft of an MOU between the two parties.

Mr. El Sherbini introduced EIA and spoke about its regular activities. He emphasized that some Iranian insurance companies based in UAE are members of the association. He also invited Dr. Asgari to participate in IUMI Asia Forum conducted by EIA on May at Dubai.

Mr. El Sherbini welcomed the MOU with IRC and highlighted that in near future a stronger relationship with IRC is much possible. He also explained about the training courses EIA provides for its members that might be useful for Iran insurance industry managers.
