In this meeting, the CEO of IRC met with Prof. Dr. İbrahim Guran Yumusak, Director of Islamic Economics and Finance Research and Application Center (ISEFAM), Prof. Dr. Yusuf Dinç, previous member of Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK), Dr. Abdurrahman Migdad, Assistant Professor and Director of the Islamic Economics and Finance Department, Prof. Dr. Servet Bayindir, Shariah Board member at Emlak Katılım Participation Bank, Prof. Dr. Burhan Uluyol, Deputy Director of ISEFAM, Dr. Z. Hafsa Orhan, Deputy Director of ISEFAM, and Dr. Ensari Yucel, Director of the Department of International Trade and Finance.

In this meeting, Dr. Asgari reviewed some of the recent activities of IRC and the latest developments in Iran insurance industry. He also presented an overview regarding the international cooperation that has been sought by IRC in the recent years.

Further, the CEO of IRC called for IZU to help IRC in conducting joint academic events including webinars, conferences, and training courses. He also invited his counterparts to participate in two upcoming major events in Iran insurance industry namely International Conference on Insurance and Development (ICID) and Kish INVEX to be held on early December and November respectively.

The other issues raised and discussed in the meeting by the participants were regarding the sabbatical leaves of IRC research fellows at IZU, developing student exchange programs, conducting joint research projects, joint publication, joint certification and takaful implementation in Iran and Türkiye.

It must be noted that Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University is a Turkish private higher-education institution established by "İlim Yayma Vakfı" on April 24, 2010. The university was named after Sabahattin Zaim (1926-2007), a professor of economics in the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University until 1993. The university's main campus is located in Halkalı, the faculty building is situated in Altunizade, and the research center is in Eyüp.
